CHANGE YOUR MIND ABOUT THE CHURCH
1. YOU CANNOT SEPARATE JESUS FROM HIS CHURCH.
Matthew 16:18 - I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.
Acts 20:28 - Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood.
Ephesians 1:22-23 - And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.
1 Corinthians 12:27 - Now you are the body of Christ , and each one of you is a part of it.
Hebrews 12:22-23 - But you have come to Mount Zion, to the heavenly Jerusalem, the city of the living God. You have come to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly, to the church of the firstborn, whose names are written in heaven.
2. WHO WOULD PERPETUATE THIS LIE?
2 Corinthians 4:4 - The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
2 Corinthians 11:3 - But I am afraid that as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, your thoughts will be led astray from a sincere and pure devotion to Christ.
John 8:44- You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
3. YOU CANNOT OBEY HIS COMMANDS WITHOUT THE CHURCH.
Consider some of the “one another” commands given to the church for the church:
Be devoted to one another in brotherly love.
Romans 12:10
Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you.
Romans 15:7
Instruct one another.
Romans 15:14
Serve one another in love.
Galatians 5:13
Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs.
Ephesians 5:19
Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another.
Hebrews 10:25
4. CHANGE YOUR MIND TO EXPERIENCE GOD’S WILL FOR YOUR LIFE.
His will is that you become an active part of the Body of Christ, the church.
CHANGE YOUR MIND – CHANGE YOUR LIFE (Romans 12:2) - Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world. But be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is — his good, pleasing and perfect will.
