PREPARE YOURSELF FOR THE SECOND CALL

You will get three calls from God.

(Or two if Jesus returns while you are alive.)

1.   God’s first call is for salvation.

• The caller ID on this call is “The Gospel” (2 Thessalonians 2:13-14) – “From the beginning God chose you to be saved through the sanctifying work of the Spirit and through belief in the truth. He called you to this through our gospel, that you might share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

• Your soul will take this call or send it to voice mail.

2.   God’s second call is to take you from this world by death.

• Your soul might not want to answer, but your body will answer this call – no putting on hold or voice mail.

• The reason for this call is quite simple (Ezekiel 18:20) – “The soul who sins is the one who will die.”

• Job 14:15 – “You will call and I will answer you; you will long for the creature your hands have made.”

• Hebrews 9:27 – “Man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment.”

3.   God’s third call is for resurrection.

• This is an Amber Alert, an Emergency Alert, a notification you will not miss.

• God spoke of this call 500 years before Jesus (Daniel 12:1-2) - "At that time Michael, the great prince who protects your people, will arise. There will be a time of distress such as has not happened from the beginning of nations until then. But at that time your people — everyone whose name is found written in the book — will be delivered. Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt.”

• Jesus said the call will come from the voice of the Son of God (John 5:28-29) - "Do not be amazed at this, for a time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear his voice and come out — those who have done good will rise to live, and those who have done evil will rise to be condemned.”
