BECOME AN EFFECTIVE TRANSLATOR
Your purpose in life: become the most effective translator of spiritual truth.
You were created for this (Romans 8:29) - For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.
The more you focus on the Lord, the more like him you become (2 Corinthians 3:18) - And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
As a translator, you also become a “star witness,” a witness who provides crucial information. Your witness increases as you obey each calling:
1. Called to repentance and salvation (Acts 3:19) - Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.
2. Called to separation from darkness (1 Peter 2:9) - But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.
3. Called to serve others (1 Peter 4:10) – Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms.
4. Called to endure suffering (1 Peter 2:20-21) - But if you suffer for doing good and you endure it, this is commendable before God. To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.
5. Called to reproduce spiritual maturity (Colossians 1:28-29) - We proclaim him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ. To this end I labor, struggling with all his energy, which so powerfully works in me.
